DTS Play-Fi Integrates Chromecast Built-In
New DTS Play-Fi products can now support Google Cast using Chromecast Built-In. Starting with the Philips Sound Wireless series of sound bars and speakers in the market, users can enjoy the benefits of their favorite Cast support services such as YouTube Music, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, and many more, all from the comfort of those in-app user experiences on Android.
Furthermore, enjoy the benefits of using the Google Home app to create groups with any other Chromecast Built-In product, for synchronized multiroom music. Users can even enjoy Google Voice Assistant integration when linking to their Nest Home products.
As with all of DTS Play-Fi's service integrations, such as AirPlay and Spotify Connect, it's easy to seamlessly transition between any service by simply connecting via the supported system, whether that's the DTS Play-Fi app, Spotify app, AirPlay picker, or even Google Cast picker, anyone in the household can play the way they want and expect.
More DTS Play-Fi products will be coming to market soon that support Google Cast, so please look forward to those announcements as well.

Hi Dannie!
Congratulations on linking to Chromecast! This is a great step up.
There is a typo in your press release that you might want to fix: Google Voice Assistant integration whne linking to their Nest Home products.

This is for integrations going forward, so expect most new products coming out with Play-Fi to support these features.

Is any products can use it? I have audiolab 6000N, but I can’t connect to my google nest mini.

What about existing products, like the Definitive Technology W Studio soundbar? This seems like it could be a software update. If Play-Fi doesn’t care to support existing products and users, I’ll be certain to avoid it in the future.

It is not possible to add Chromecast Built-In to older products due to significant hardware limitations. We operate on a unified platform to make it so that all products across brands can be updated unilaterally and maintain parity and feature compatibility with one another, but certain features that require additional hardware, like Cast, will rely on our newer designs that are built with these newer offerings in mind.
We would if we could, though. We actually would have likely implemented Chromecast Built-In much sooner without those limitations. Either way we do everything possible to maintain and update all existing products with Play-Fi, even products like the original PS1 from Phorus.
