DTS is pleased to announce that the family of DTS Play-Fi®-enabled products with Works With Alexa functionality has expanded with the latest update for the Audiolab 6000N Play.
The 6000N Play combines the versatility of the DTS Play-Fi wireless audio platform with Audiolab’s sonic know-how to deliver a great-sounding Wi-Fi streaming solution that is simple to set up and use. Users can stream from any source on their wireless network - smartphones, tablets, PCs and Macs, as well as NAS drives and music servers - utilising the 6000N Play’s dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi. It also connects wirelessly with other Play-Fi-equipped devices, enabling a fully synchronised multi-room set-up. The 6000N Play is hi-res audio enabled, capable of receiving data up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution over Wi-Fi - well in excess of CD quality - without transcoding or down-sampling.

Works with Alexa allows customers to easily control audio playback on an Alexa compatible DTS Play-Fi product from another room using an Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show or other Alexa-enabled device. Simply link an Amazon account to a compatible DTS Play-Fi product and Alexa will know the speaker by name. Customers can use their voice to ask Alexa to play a song in a specific room or a group of rooms that have been linked to adjust volume, skip the track forward, mute, pause, stop the music and more.
Once audio has started playing from an Alexa command, the DTS Play-Fi app can be used to dynamically add more products into the streaming session. Customers can link other DTS Play-Fi-compatible speakers to their Works with Alexa certified DTS Play-Fi device, and use Alexa commands to the primary device to control playback across all connected devices.
