DTS, a global leader in high-definition audio solutions and a wholly owned subsidiary of Xperi Corporation (Nasdaq: XPER) (“Xperi”), is pleased to announce Alexa Cast support on its DTS Play-Fi®-enabled Works with Alexa certified products. Any idea when the Play-Fi skill will even be available in the UK to enable this functionality to work?

Hey Graham,
We’re working with Amazon now on this. We hope to have it enabled in the UK and a few other regions where Alexa and our products are distributed in the coming month or so.

Hi Justin, thanks for that, I’ll be keen to see that update! Amazon weren’t very helpful when I reached out to their tech support…

Hey Justin,
I just found that the play-fi skill is now in the UK Alexa skills store- great! However, I’m struggling with Spotify, it works perfectly with Play-fi and Alexa independently, but I am unable to get Alexa to play Spotify through my play-fi streamer, any ideas?

Hey Graham,
Spotify isn’t quite yet supported on this platform yet. We’re updating and working with Spotify to enable voice control, as well as a few other features, on all of our speaker brands. I don’t have project timeline for this, but I suspect we’ll start seeing some things at the start of next year.

Hi, the new Sling feature is great. When I’m in critical listening mode and listening to a hi-res 24bit stream, does the stream quality get downgraded when I sling it?

Any news when this will be available in Canada? Using Alexa from the Play-Fi app or casting both do not work in Canada. Thanks.
